What Type of Coffee Are You Based on Your Personality?

/images/que-tipo-de-cafe-eres-segun-tu-personalidad.webp or change the attribute src of this image. The type of coffee you prefer reflects your personality: espresso identifies decisive, intense people; americano, those who are calm and adaptable; cappuccino, the creative and social; cortado, those who seek balance; carajillo, the bold; café con leche, warm and loyal people; and frappé, those who enjoy life lightly.
Some people need a double espresso before they can utter a single syllable. For others, the day simply doesn't begin without their frothy cappuccino. And then there are those who order an americano with the same calm with which they watch the sunrise.
The coffee you choose is no accident. It is a small window into who you are, how you think, and how you live. At CAFIVER we have spent decades working with the best coffee from the Altas Montañas of Veracruz and, in that time, we have learned something: every person has their coffee, just as every coffee has its personality.

The personalities of coffee
Direct, no beating around the bush. You know exactly what you want and have no time for frills. You get to the bean (literally). Your efficiency is your superpower and your schedule is always full, but you never miss a detail.
You value quality over quantity: you prefer one extraordinary cup to three mediocre ones. You demand the best from yourself and others, and you instantly recognize when something has class.
Calm, flexible, and adaptable. You don't need to impress anyone: you are authentic, and that makes you irresistible in your own way. You prefer long conversations to quick meetings, and you have a gift for making anyone feel comfortable.
You are the kind of person who can work for hours without your cup getting cold, because your pace is steady and sustained. No peaks or crashes, just flow.
You are a perfect balance of substance and style. You care how things look, but also that they have real substance. You enjoy rituals: the moment of sitting down, holding the cup, that first sip with foam.
Social, creative, and with an eye for aesthetics. You find beauty in everyday details. The cocoa sprinkled on the cappuccino isn't decoration; it's intention.
Warm, welcoming, and familiar. You are one of those people who make any place feel like home. You don't seek intensity for its own sake: you prefer comfort, the reassuring routine, the hug in the form of a cup.
You are loyal, generous, and give a lot of yourself. Your strength lies in continuity and in the bonds you build little by little, without rushing.
Not too much and not too little. The cortado is the coffee of someone who knows exactly where the sweet spot is. You are a person with your own judgment, who doesn't follow trends but doesn't reject the new without trying it either.
You have a gift for mediating and for seeing what others miss because they are at the extremes. Efficient without being cold, affectionate without being cloying.
Bold, irreverent, and eager to break the rules. You combine worlds that supposedly shouldn't mix, and the result always surprises. You are the kind of person who proposes things nobody had thought of before, and they almost always work.
You don't settle for the conventional. You seek experiences and you know the best moments in life always have a bit of spice.
Carefree, fresh, and with a contagious energy. You don't take life too seriously, and that makes people want to be near you. You adapt to any environment and find fun where others don't see it.
You are also deeper than you appear: beneath that light presentation there is a good dose of caffeine, that is, of determination.
Whatever your personality, it deserves real coffee
Each of these coffee profiles reaches its fullest expression when made with quality beans. At Cafiver we work directly with producers in the Altas Montañas of Veracruz, where altitude, humidity, and volcanic soil create an arabica coffee of exceptional flavor.
Because your espresso deserves to be truly intense. Your americano, clean and balanced. Your cappuccino, creamy with a base that holds up. The raw material changes everything.
Discover CAFIVER coffee →Of course, these categories are not absolute. Sometimes you are an espresso from Monday to Friday and a cappuccino on Sunday. Or you start the year as an americano and end up a carajillo. Personality, like taste in coffee, also evolves.
What does remain constant is that coffee is one of those small rituals that says a lot about us: how we start the day, how we relate to others, what we value. It is not just a drink; it is a way of being in the world.

Frequently asked questions
We answer the most common questions before you go looking for the answer elsewhere.
Espresso reflects decisive, intense people. Americano, those who are calm and adaptable. Cappuccino, the creative and social. Cortado, those who seek balance. Carajillo, the bold who enjoy breaking rules. Café con leche, warm and loyal people. Frappé, those who are fresh and carefree.
If you don't like bitterness, the best options are café con leche, cappuccino, or café bombón (with sweetened condensed milk). The frappé is also a smooth, refreshing alternative. All of them soften the intensity of the base espresso with milk or cream.
Espresso and ristretto concentrate more caffeine per milliliter by using little water with a lot of coffee. However, an americano—having more volume—can end up with a similar total amount. A frappé made with instant coffee usually has less caffeine.
The difference is in the ratio. A cortado has a small amount of milk that "cuts" the espresso (roughly a 2:1 coffee-to-milk ratio), while a café con leche uses equal parts coffee and milk, resulting in a smoother, larger drink.
Coffee from the Altas Montañas of Veracruz grows at more than 1,200 meters of altitude, in volcanic soil with high humidity. These conditions produce an arabica bean with a higher concentration of natural sugars, more complex aromas, and lower acidity. That is why Cafiver uses it as the base of all its products.
Yes. Taste in coffee evolves along with the person. It is common to start with mild drinks such as café con leche or cappuccino and, over time, develop a preference for espresso or cortado. The palate is educated, and the same can be said of personality: both change with experience.
